East India Company - recruites 1772-73

List of men recruited by Murdoch McLaine (19th of Lochbuy) to serve in the East India Company [HEIC] 1772-73. A very important document for Mull military history as among the 78 names, 15 or 16 are from Mull. The Mull ones are :

Several of the same men went on the Glasgow Packet with Murdoch and enlisted into the RHE (later the 84th of Foot) in 1775:
Some of the same signed up at mid-ocean on 23 Oct. 1775 "before said Capt. Porterfield and William Hunter, the mate" of The Glasgow Packet.
